Product Description

Pound for pound, a good hand mixer is perhaps the most laborsaving kitchen device. While my grandmother relied on arm strength and force of will to beat a stiff dough or to mash potatoes, a light and easily maneuvered hand mixer saves time and muscles. This one from KitchenAid features seven-speed digital touch control for precision mixing, and an electronic sensor that will adjust the power as you go, so you maintain a steady mixing speed. If you're beating a delicate batter, you can use the Soft Start feature and ease into faster speed. When you're finished, the beaters are easily ejected. If you've ever battled heavy doughs, you'll appreciate the beaters' design: they don't have a center post, so dough won't collect in the middle of the beater and clog the machine. It's also designed for easy cleaning. --Laura Cuthbert

Another wonderful little powerhouse from KitchenAid

You know there are times when you just don't want to haul out the big mixer, right? Well, being the holiday hostess for my large extended family, my Irish brothers love their mashed potatoes. When I have a holiday dinner and my countertops are loaded with lots of other wonderful holiday dinner foods waiting to be served, hauling out the big mixer is just not an option. Out comes this handy little KitchenAid hand mixer! In a jiffy, this little powerhouse mashes the potatoes and then away it goes so dinner can proceed as needed. It's a really cool tool and I'm glad to have it at times like that. Also, I have pulled it out to mix pancake batter, sometimes cake batter, and other easy to mix items. It's easy to wipe down and the beaters pop right off to go into your dishwasher. Easy clean, easy to use, easy storage -- what more could you want?
The Best In Hand Mixer Class

This hand-held mixer is a great compromise if you don't require a heavy-duty stand design. It's modererately priced and is a "quality" product from "KitchenAid". The motor though, isn't quite as heavy-duty as you'll find in stand mixers. Very heavy batters or bread dough might pose a challenge for any hand-held model but it's a fraction of the price of the stand mixers. This one will meet the needs of the majority of families most of the time. It is available in eight color choices, including black and white. I rated it five stars because, it's probably the best hand-held mixer in that overall class of product. Lots of "speed" settings from which to select and made by a company that has stood the "test of time" and stands behind their products.
A hand mixer so good you husband will want to use it!

I bought the empire green hand mixer. I thought it was very light weight upon removing it from the box. I liked the digital speed display, I thought it was extremely easy to read. And the buttons to control the speed (increase or decrease) were easy to use and not cumbersome. Compared to my betty crocker hand mixer this one is much more user friendly. As far as how it mixes- I thought it was so much better than my old hand mixer. The blades are thinner so cookie dough does not get caught. And it was so powerful! I am very happy with the purchase. It is my first kitchen aid product and probably wont be my last. As far as my fiance-- he thought it was better because of the digital display and the power. You can definitely use it to mash potatoes!
It's fabulous!

I do a lot of baking during the holidays and I had just gotten fed up with my other mixer. I researched and found this mixer, thinking the 7-speed would be just right, not too much power as the 9-speed might be, and not too little power as the 3- or 5-speed might be. So, I bought it as my gift to myself. I've used it a couple times so far this year and I love the low speed mix feature where it does not throw the dry ingredients out of the bowl when first mixing. The beaters are delicate enough to handle a thin mix while the speeds give it enough power to handle the thicker mixes. Besides, the thinner beaters leave more of the mix in the bowl and less on the beaters when I remove them...something my teenage son doesn't like (he gets to lick them). And the digital display and controls are so easy to use. I absolutely love this mixer and am thrilled with how it pulls the ingredients together for the doughs and frostings so quickly and easily. I highly recommend this product!
Best Choice for Hand Mixer

When it was time for me to buy a new hand mixer, I went to many stores to evaluate which one would be best. I knew I needed one with heavy-duty power to get through cookie doughs, but also one which was comfortable yet not too heavy for me to hold. I also looked at the beaters since many models of hand mixers have very flimsy, oddly shaped beaters. Finally, I decided on the KitchenAid Hand Mixer since it felt just right in my hand, and it had a heavy-duty motor and excellent beaters. Mine came with a dough hook, but I have never used it. This hand mixer has 7 speeds, plus a power-boost feature. Another new feature, to me, is the sliding mechanism for changing speeds, rather than a clicking-in-place mechanism. However, I found it very easy to adjust to this type of speed control. I love using my hand mixer for quick mixing tasks when I don't want to use my KitchenAid stand mixer. Highly recommended!
